The Final Count Down

Dear Family….How are you doing?

This week was pretty cool.

…..We are teaching super cute little 9 year old name Jillian!
Her mom and brother are so cute, and I am seriously going to be friends with them forever.

J, is really progressing super well, he is going to be baptized this week!
It has really been a miracle to see the grace of God.
Its amazing to see people change, and to become close to God.

I think that over the course of my mission, I have really come to love potential.
I love meeting people and just looking at their potential. He/she has the potential of living with God, he/she can be baptized and repent. They can be cleaned through the grace and merits of God.

I know that forgiveness is possible through Jesus Christ, I know that being unified is truly possible.
I am going to miss sharing the gospel everyday as a full time missionary.
But I will never stop sharing it.

Through all of the trials I have had on mission, I have learned how to fully rely on the Lord. I love him so much.

I’m terrified to come home…but I guess it’s a new opportunity for me to progress.
I’m going to be super awkward, and i’m going to rock it.

I am grateful for the plan of salvation.

This week…..
SO where to start.

lets start by saying that I love cats….but I got a pretty good cat scratch to the face….so I haven’t held a cat for the past 12 hours….that’s a record.

Also, Jorge is doing super well. we fasted with him yesterday, and he will see what happens with his baptism date.
They sang a song about going home in church yesterday and my dear sister ahchong started to cry… then I looked at her, and it hit me that I only have 2 Sundays left….what…

We had exchanges this week and we went to this really yummy sushi place…and They had Mochi! that really yummy ice cream thing…so that’s all I got. and like 2 things of sushi. yummy.

It was interesting to sit with this dear sister, who I was on exchanges with, and hear her going through all of these things, and then I would tell her stories of when I went through something similar. It was crazy to hear myself, and how I’ve made it so far.

This week, we found a new investigator…his name is Meyoshi A…..we met up with him at a restaurant…he explained that he met his wife at a club, and then she got pregnant, so they were just recently married.
He said, he didn’t really want the baby….it just happened. It made me sad to hear that. But it was a good lesson….until 2 hours later, when we received a text from him…inviting us to go to downtown Seattle and go “clubbin” with him….ummm…
noooo thankkk you…

We had so much fun with our friend Kayla this week! she invited us over to a cute fire she was having, we took our investigator Jorge, and we all have great fun!

Anywho…Im doing so good.
I may or may not have gotten a ticket this week…by photo.
wasnt my fault.
we will see….love me still?

Week 1,236,846

Hello my dearest people!

So….this week was awesome!

I worked on my exit essays like crazy, actually, it’s pretty cool to see subtle changes that will impact me forever.

Also….we started packing. yes. I am such a pro at throwing things away. Be proud. Be proud. The other day we were at a Less Actives home and just because we are so used to cleaning, Sister Ah Chong and I just started picking things up….then she gave us a weird look…and we put everything back down.

we have to clean our apartment so it can basically be closed down 😦

but I have a very exciting announcement to make……

DALLIN H. OAKS is coming to our mission! And what makes it better, is that he is coming before I go home….yes!

Also, Jorge is doing so well! He is progressing so well. He is reading and praying. Even though he is going through a divorce. He told us this week that his soon to be ex-wife is wanting to take his 3 boys to Virginia with her new boyfriend 😦
I’ve never really seen him get emotional before.
But he had his kids this weekend and he brought them to church, and they did really well, they made it through sacrament meeting…but that was it. but ya gotta start somewhere right.

Last night, we had our last CSFY Mission Fireside. We brought 2 investigators. It was so good, I was able to see some of my old companions and people I love.
It is making me sad that I am doing all of these things for the “last time” as a missionary. But our WML pointed out a good point. That when you go home you grow so much because you have the choice to live the principles and commandments you’ve learned on your mission. And i’m really excited for that.

Anywho…..I love being a missionary.
I love benadryl and I love Lynnwood!

love you all!

Lynnwood Week 8

Dear….dear ones,

This week. awesome.

Jorge is doing great, he is going to be baptized on March 28th. He is really soaking up the lessons and gospel like a sponge. I love it!
Sometimes we have to go through hardships to find God, and that’s what Jorge is going through.
He came to church yesterday, his first sacrament meeting ever. He even went to the store this week to buy a “church shirt.”
We met him after church, when he got out of Priesthood and I asked him how he like church and he said that he know’s this is right…
Heavenly Father has sooooo blessed us!

Anywhoo…..great news. I’m dying here in Lynnwood. Awesome. I love this place.
oh and what else happened….WE GOT A CAR….
so we get to bike and drive now 🙂
I think we begged really hard and they had pity on us.
I’m cool with that.

Also this week…..I received my Exit Essays in the mail 😦 Due march 18th…man…
it made everything real…..

So as I’ve been writing my essays I’ve really had an opportunity to reflect on my mission and what the Lord taught me, and why he taught me what he did….
I think that just as christ, we all are given opportunities to learn how to fully rely on Christ. Especially in those moments when you feel broken and sad. Or happy and Joyful.
Who said you can’t rely on Christ when your happy? He wants us to always have him near 🙂
If you look at the life of Christ…he always helped everyone. He healed the sick and gave sight to the blind. He never overlooked anyone in need 🙂 he was the greatest missionary ever. I hope to one day,
be just like him.
